Our platform grows with and you’ll have a big say in how we evolve and incorporate new features and technologies

The Metaverse 1.0 and NFT 1.0

There is presently a lack of seamless interoperability for a user’s digital assets between different platforms and blockchains.

We call this the Metaverse 1.0 - the mainly disconnected collection of closed virtual worlds made from Web2 and early standards in blockchain and smart-contract technology.

Earlier iterations of Ethereum smart-contracts established the first Non-Fungible Token standards such as ERC-721 and ERC-1155 that we now call NFT 1.0.

NFT 1.0 made possible the creation and connection of virtual spaces, avatars and objects that have verifiable uniqueness, scarcity and permanence.

These are immutably stored on the blockchain and are no longer tied to any one place, digital or analog. Immutable means that they will remain there in perpetuity, unchanged.

Virtual Reality (VR)

and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies have enabled these digital items to not only be experienced in 3D but to co-exist in the physical world.

Unfortunately, the virtual worlds in the Metaverse 1.0 are predominantly intraconnected and therefore lack interoperability.

Digital assets cannot pass through or be utilized between more than one virtual world freely or easily.

The limited use-cases for these first-generation NFTs made them inadequate as a rich and accurate representation of our digital identities.

User experiences accessing the metaverse were both cumbersome and complicated.

The metaverse as described by Neal Stephenson in

Snow crash novel's cover image
“Snow Crash” (1992)

was until now impossible to fully realize. Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta has a plan for the metaverse that is too eerily close to Stephenson’s dystopia.

Anitya is the panacea to these concepts of the metaverse.

The Metaverse 2.0 and NFT 2.0

Our products are being built with cutting-edge levels of interoperability and composability at their core, not as an afterthought.

Anitya envisions the Metaverse 2.0 as a universe of interconnected and interoperable digital spaces, assets and entities brought to life by the latest advancements in composable NFT technology we refer to as NFT 2.0

These technologies from pioneering projects such as RMRK and DRepublic enable NFTs to be used as pieces of Lego, making it possible for them to be disassembled, reassembled and combinable with one another.

These NFTs will also have an unlimited number of *dynamic* attributes.

This modular system of NFT building blocks opens up new functionalities, limited only by our imagination.

Digital worlds, avatars, assets and their attributes are now programmable, to be able to change, evolve and/or devolve with the passage of time.

NFT 2.0 makes possible the existence of a new class of digital entities that have verifiable authenticity and impermanence.

For the first time, NFTs can live (and die).

They can not only respond to but also influence other objects in both the physical and digital realm.

For example, a flower in the metaverse can be programmed to bloom based on whether the sun is actually shining in the physical world. A flower can also wilt and perish if it is not receiving enough water, either from its virtual environment or from a lack of intervention from its human carer much like a [Tamagotchi]( This opens up limitless possibilities for a creator to design and program these interactions between an NFT and its digital and physical environment.

NFTs can also be trained using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. An avatar or object will not only improve its characteristics and abilities with every challenge accomplished, milestone reached, or data-set it is given, but will also self-determine new strategies to maximize its potential and success in the world it is a part of.

These innovations have brought the “meta” to NFTs and finally enabled a new type of metaverse.

The Metaverse 2.0 enables a higher level of shared experiences, immersion, user interaction, social connection and collaboration.

This new metaverse paradigm has unexplored dimensions of social networking and experience that mirrors and enhances the physical world.

Anitya is born out of these new and emerging possibilities and facilitates the exploration and discovery of new forms of connected experiences.

The New Artist Economy

Anitya provides the platform and marketplace for artists and creators at the frontier of digital creativity to establish, nurture and collaborate with their communities, whilst establishing a direct connection to their buyers and collectors.

NFT 1.0 created a new artists economy by empowering artists to sell their works directly to consumers without any intermediaries such as galleries or auction houses.

Furthermore, the programmable contracts written directly into an NFTs code allowed artists to receive royalties as a percentage from all future sales.

This artist-centric economy was never before possible and has led to pioneering projects such as Eulerbeats which combined digital artwork with digital music into one collectible.  Thanks to the possibilities of smart contracts, every Eulerbeats NFT has a hard-coded mechanism that increases revenue to the creator and the artwork’s owner every time a new copy of the musical art-piece was minted from the original.

The generative art project Art Blocks pioneered a new collectibles market with new possibilities in computer-generated art.

With the advent of NFT 2.0 technologies and beyond, the relationships and economies that will be created will be limited only by an artist’s imagination and the evolving appetites of collectors.

We already re-create and present to the world-wide-web a reimagined version of ourselves via our e-mail addresses, Twitter handles, Instagram profiles, gaming avatars and Discord usernames. They are a progression from pseudonyms made possible by advancements in technology. We spend our lives increasingly connected to the internet. We conduct our daily routines via cloud applications and Zoom calls. We consume entertainment via Netflix and Youtube

These new disintermediated revenue models enable artists and collectors to earn or share revenue via increasingly sophisticated smart contracts. As humans, we love to collect things based on our perception of an object’s underlying value, quality and rarity.

GameFi, MetaFi and the Gamification of Art, Design and the Metaverse

Anitya is at the crossover of art, design and gaming and unlocks their yet to be explored synergies in the metaverse

One of the core products we are building is a powerful, efficient and highly customizable AR/VR game engine and user-friendly design toolkit that simplifies the development of games powered by Web3 and NFTs across a variety of different platforms.

The market value of current metaverse and P2E projects already exceeds $20 billion. The global gaming industry exceeds $300 billion. The global art industry exceeds $400 billion.

The intersection of gaming, Web3 and NFTs has connected previously siloed in-game economies to real-world economies and traditional art marketplaces.

In-game currencies earned by playing games such as the Pokemon inspired Axie Infinity can already be exchanged for fiat currencies.

NFTs bought or won in Metaverse 1.0 projects such as Decentraland and the more gaming orientated The Sandbox are fully-owned by the user (as opposed to being owned by the metaverse or game developer) and as such can be traded on marketplaces such as OpenSea with the cryptocurrency received easily exchanged for fiat.

These integrations have given rise to the Play-to-Earn (P2E) economy and are already revolutionizing the way we interact with digital worlds, allured by the pure enjoyment and fun of games.

Being able to create and discover things of value inside the metaverse, and then buy, sell and trade them with others, is creating new economies and revenue streams which in turn incentivizes us to do even more inside these virtual worlds.

As culture and gaming merge in the digital realm, brands are branching out into the metaverse and NFTs.

The rapidly accelerating quality of digital art and blockchain gaming is resulting in more visually appealing, immersive and entertaining experiences that are quickly capturing the market share from mainstream art and gaming industries.

With the increasing adoption of P2E gaming, digital art and collectibles and the metaverse, there is enormous untapped potential in these emerging markets.

Diguality and the Metaphygital

Anitya is the platform that allows the exploration of the blurring lines of the physical and digital experiences.

Technological advancements initiated the first forms of bio- and neurohacking. To what extent do we already exist in two worlds - the analog and the digital?

We have augmented and extended the function of our physical bodies with medical implants, prosthetics, microchips and smart devices.

The advent of the internet gave us a new digital world to explore, consume and share experiences.

What effect does the increasing connection of our physical and the digital realms have on the body, soul and mind in a time of hyper-individualism? And where should we cultivate our digital selves?

Could our avatar’s experiences not only be *as* fulfilling as that in-real-life but even become *more* so?

We already re-create and present to the world-wide-web a reimagined version of ourselves via our e-mail addresses, Twitter handles, Instagram profiles, gaming avatars and Discord usernames. They are a progression from pseudonyms made possible by advancements in technology. We spend our lives increasingly connected to the internet. We conduct our daily routines via cloud applications and Zoom calls. We consume entertainment via Netflix and Youtube

All this leads to the question, is there a metaphysical relationship between our physical and digital selves?

When Web3?

Anitya embodies Web3’s principles of a user-centric internet and open metaverse where users own their digital identities and assets and govern their own digital destinies.

Web1, the earliest iteration of the internet was the ‘read-only’ web - where users could view but not interact with the static web pages displayed.  Most pages were nothing more than lines of text and images.

Web2 is the ‘social web’ of information access, search queries, comments and posts as we know and use today. This interactive internet facilitated previously unimaginable growth of the global economy by enabling cross border interactions that created new opportunities for users and businesses. However, the flow of data and wealth into centralized entities has resulted in a digital world owned and controlled increasingly by a few networks. Users are dependant on the services they use while ultimately having little control over their own data, which is used to monetize and influence their behaviours. In this iteration of the internet, centralized entities exert control over what can and can't be done.

Web3 is a more decentralized, autonomous and open internet using blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies that enable interoperability between social, enterprise and application networks.

Seamless communication between content and information systems underpins Web3’s power to disrupt the pre-existing centralized governance models into fairer user and builder centric governance models, such as decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs).
